Main Responsibilities
1. Oversee the disciplinary and functional management of staff within the area of responsibility.
2. Accountable for resource planning within the designated area.
3. Lead the strategic growth of the PE department, focusing on lean production, in collaboration with the Production Manager (identifying areas for improvement, recording potential opportunities in a roadmap, and setting priorities).
4. Drive the achievement of 1-5 year goals by defining targets, measures, and priorities to meet those objectives.
5. Ensure adherence to established production standards, including reporting KPIs to both Business Units (BUs) and Corporate Units (CUs).
6. Create and manage master data for bills of materials, material masters, routings, work centres, and equipment.
7. Establish master data for creating bills of materials and work plans.
8. Analyse discrepancies between production and the ERP system, and develop suitable action plans.
9. Support Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP).
10. Prepare preliminary calculations and standard price estimates.
11. Develop action plans to improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
1. Several years of professional engineering experience in a related role.
2. Holds a qualification at a minimum of HNC level (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
3. Prior supervisory experience, preferably with a formal management qualification.
4. Strong organisational skills, with excellent communication abilities and the capacity to motivate a team.
5. Strong analytical abilities paired with exceptional problem-solving skills.
