We are currently undertaking the development and roll-out of a national fixed wireless network, delivering wireless connections to a potential target of 4 million homes in the North-West and the Midlands. The infrastructure delivers connectivity via transmitters mounted on rooftops, telecommunication masts, monopoles, and street poles, providing bandwidth through the air to premises without the disruption and cost of traditional ground fibre schemes.
The Role – Mechanical Engineer/Mechanic/Hydraulics Engineer/Vehicle Technician
We are looking for an experienced Engineer to oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our company vehicles as well as all plant machinery, such as Hiab, cherry pickers, and compressors.
In this role you will:
1. Perform repairs, servicing, and parts replacement.
2. Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
3. Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations.
4. Perform the inspection and repair of vehicles, machinery, and light trucks.
5. Oversee maintenance inspections, monitor inventory, assemble mechanical components, and perform repairs.
6. Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, systems, or automotive vehicles.
7. Diagnose defects on heavy-duty equipment.
Essential Skills of the Mechanical Engineer/Mechanic/Hydraulics Engineer/Vehicle Technician:
* Full Driving Licence.
* Experience in working on a variety of vehicles and machinery.
* Understanding of hydraulic maintenance and repair.
* Ability to provide support in the field during installation issues if required.
