Riviera Education Trust is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join our team. This full-time position (30 hours per week) is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, by supporting their communication and learning development.
The Riviera Education Trust is a multi-academy trust consisting of three local primary schools. Oldway Primary School, Roselands Primary School and Shiphay Learning Academy we all work together to benefit all of the children in the Trust and the role will be based in all three schools over the week.
As a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of our SEND Lead to deliver targeted speech and language interventions. Your role will involve working with small groups and providing 1:1 support to pupils across the school. While previous experience in a similar role is preferred, it is not essential.

Criteria for the post:
8. GCSEs in English and Mathematics (minimum Grade C) or equivalent
9. A proven track record of working with primary-aged pupils in a school setting (preferred)
10. Additional qualifications such as NVQs (preferred but not essential)

The starting salary will be £16,756 per annum (£24,027 FTE), which is Grade C, Scale Point 3 on the NJC PayScale. The hours for the role are 30 hours per week, 8:45 – 15:15 Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year. This role is being on a fixed term contract until 31 August 2025.
