Role Overview: The Specification Technologist will be responsible for managing and completing finished product specifications, ensuring compliance with Quality Management Systems and customer requirements. This includes updating specifications to meet legal, safety, and customer-specific details. Key Responsibilities: 1. Complete online and manual specification templates with detailed information on recipes, ingredients, nutrition, allergens, and safety. 2. Collaborate with Technical Managers, Product Developers, and suppliers to deliver comprehensive specifications. 3. Create, review, and approve finished product specifications and pack copies in line with customer policies. 4. Check and approve client artworks and labels, ensuring packaging consistency. 5. Support clients with accurate specifications and artwork projects through regular feedback. 6. Organise pack copy review meetings to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. 7. Maintain Customer Specifications Manuals and update recipe management systems. 8. Plan and prioritise workload to manage multiple projects effectively. 9. Participate in Technical Service Team tasks as required. 10. Familiarise yourself with the inner workings of company factories to ensure accurate specification completion. Qualifications and Experience: - Degree in a Food-related discipline or equivalent industry experience. - Minimum of 2 years experience in a specifications role, with at least 12 months in a similar position. - Proficiency in managing your own time and workload. - Strong understanding of HACCP. - Essential experience with retailer specification portals and policies, including ASDA, ALDI, Sainsbury's, and Lidl.
