An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Administrator to join our Thoracic team based at Colchester Hospital
We are looking for an efficient, conscientious, well-motivated, enthusiastic and experienced administrator, with the skills to provide dedicated clerical support to both the clinical team.
The post will be based at Colchester Hospital, working with a well-established, high achieving & committed team. You will provide efficient and pro-active secretarial and administrative support to the clinicians. You will be the first point of contact for patients and will deal with a range of queries. You will work as part of our administrative team in supporting and covering other colleagues in the department.

The department is fast paced and you must be able to work under pressure.
You will be responsible for working independently providing a full range of secretarial and administrative support and therefore must be highly organised and show the ability to prioritise a busy workload
In this role you will be responsible for carrying out medical secretarial administrative duties, adhering to policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service, and to be able to deal efficiently and courteously with patient and staff enquiries. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to prioritise and adapt to constant demands on the workload as well as be able to demonstrate the ability to work as a team member. Relevant experience within an administration team is essential.
