Purpose
Responsible for ensuring the Academy of Light is maintained and operated to achieve the highest standards. Understanding that maintaining the facility to elite standards plays a part in the success on the field and radiating that ethos throughout the group.
Core Responsibilities
1. To undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks across the club at the Academy of Light and other club locations, ensuring the highest standards are met.
2. To oversee daily facilities operations at the Academy of Light.
3. To supervise facilities and cleaning staff at the Academy of Light.
4. To engage daily with the football domain ensuring service levels are met.
5. Follow through strategic objectives throughout the site.
6. Ensure smooth delivery of facilities projects in line with the investment plan.
7. Maintain good working relationships and communications with all parties within the AOL and wider organisation.
8. Deputise for the facilities supervisor as and when required.
9. Fleet management.
10. To carry out daily swimming pool tests and ensure parameters of pool compliance are met.
11. Managing external contractors on site complying with Safe systems of work and Permit to work.
12. Understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act.
13. Work alone and as part of the wider team carrying out works as required.
14. Working to a PPM schedule and reactive timescales as required.
15. To be part of the maintenance call-out rota.
16. Understanding of building management systems (BMS).
17. To work matchdays and major events at the Stadium of Light with the maintenance team.
18. To carry out a defined list of pre-match safety checks.
19. Able to communicate effectively.
20. To provide cover for maintenance operatives on other sites when required.
21. Ensure understanding, awareness and compliance at all times with the Club’s Health & Safety Policy.
22. Ensure compliance with all of the Club’s security, stock control, loss prevention and key holder procedures.
23. Commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service.
24. To be self-motivated and the ability to work under pressure.
25. Logical thinking in fault-finding situations.
