About the role… We’re looking for a Product Manager to join us on this journey, using your experience with digital products we need you to lead on the specification, prioritisation, and design of new digital products. This is your opportunity to be the voice of the customer, using your data-driven insights to own the strategy and design of key digital products. You’ll build strong relationships with industry partners such as Train Operating Companies and Retailers, working with them and communicating our story of the products being developed as well as influencing key stakeholders such as the Department for Transport and Rail Delivery Group. The Fares Ticketing and Retail (FTR) programme is fundamental towards creating a simpler and better railway experience for everyone in Britain. This is a once in a generation opportunity to significantly transform the customer experience by modernising ticketing, simplifying journeys, removing barriers, and ensuring people are charged fairly. We want to provide better travel information to help passengers whenever they need it throughout their journey, and we’re working on improvements that give customers confidence when booking, making them feel valued for choosing rail. What you’ll bring Degree or equivalent professional qualification or extensive business experience, in digital product design & delivery or similar Extensive experience of designing, developing & delivering new products from scratch Extensive experience of setting products vision, strategy and roadmap Demonstrable experience in Agile Product Owner roles Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a simple and understandable way to time-poor senior stakeholders Experience of delivery through both Agile and Waterfall methodologies Strong financial and analytical skills Scrum product owner certification This role is available on a Fixed Term Contract or Industry Secondment for 12 months.
