To support the Emergency Department Inventory & Supplies team with the distribution of stock and replenishment of medical consumables across the Emergency Department clinical floor.
Your role will involve working within a team to provide a high quality service which offers a timely responsive and pro-active service for the movement of stock, materials equipment and occasional patients within the Emergency Department and Emergency Floor
• To prepare emergency equipment packs
• Ensure 24 hour restocking of all equipment required for service provision
• Ordering of stock when required
• Restocking of areas when requested in a timely mannerensuring that these areas are not overstocked
• Assisting with keeping the department and stores areas clean and clutter free
• Undertake the distribution of electronic equipment to the Emergency Department staff, alerting management should electronic devices not be returned or are damaged at the end of the working day.

• Ad hoc furniture and office/ward moves as and when required.
• Keeping of simple records either using paper or computer systems, including Microsoft packages.
• To be able to use basic radio and communication systems relevant to your role.
• Escalate any issues/defects to Team Leader.
• Provide support during any Trust emergencies, incidents or events where necessary supporting the contingency plans of the Trust.
• To maintain at all times a high standard of personal hygiene and presentation and to assist in the maintenance of good hygiene practices within the department.
• To observe confidentiality of patients and employing Trust’s business at all times.
• Maintain good relations with colleagues and other staff throughout locality.
• Assist non clinically on the ward in whatever capacity is necessary to ensure patient safety, comfort and dignity.
