We’re seeking a highly driven and skilled Tech Lead to join our founding team and oversee the development of a scalable, innovative platform that will redefine the fundraising industry.
About the Role
Sponsivity is an early stage startup and we are looking for someone who can take on the founding role of our technical team. We have framed this role as ‘Tech Lead’, but we’re seeking a candidate with an eye on the prize of a CTO seat. The broad salary bracket reflects our openness to a range of seniorities – you could be an experienced developer on a rapid career path, or a seasoned CTO searching for your next big move. You have built enough experience to confidently deliver a technical strategy and architecture, while you still love being hands-on yourself, building assets from the ground up in the company’s infancy.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, development, and deployment of Sponsivity’s platform, ensuring scalability and robustness to support up to 1m users across the UK and US.
* Drive the integration of new advanced features, such as gamified challenge mechanisms, social media integrations, and real-time analytics.
* Recruit and mentor an additional developer to begin building a high-performing technical team.
* Instigate Agile processes and work closely with the CEO to implement pivots in response to the outcomes of commercial hypothesis testing.
* Collaborate with our marketing manager and external UX/UI designers and to deliver an optimized user experience with a donor conversion rate meeting industry standards.
Requirements
* A proven self-starter with a drive to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment. We value problem-solving, curiosity and work ethic above all.
* Full stack experience – you will be responsible for owning and modernising our stack of AWS/Docker/Python/Django/Nginx.
* Leadership skills – if you haven’t managed a team before then you will need to show us you are cut out for it.
* Evidenced project management skills and Agile development experience – we need to see that you can deliver structure in a startup environment.
