Kennedys is looking for a Legal Secretary to join our Healthcare team based in Birmingham.
Team
Kennedys Healthcare division advise the NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts and medical malpractice insurers of private hospitals, clinics and practitioners on EL/PL and clinical negligence claims. The team advise on medical insurance coverage, health law advice, and regulatory matters and represent clients at inquests and judicial reviews. The team have a presence across our London, Cambridge, Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle and some of our global offices.
Key responsibilities
* Manage and prioritise tasks according to urgency for fee earning team
* Seek to develop knowledge of the team practice area, learning how it operates
* Take and record accurate messages and pass on to the appropriate person and without unnecessary delay
* Attend to clients both on the telephone and in person in a professional manner
Required experience
* Previous legal secretarial experience
* Fast and accurate touch typing skills
* Proficient in MS Office packages
* Knowledge of case management systems.
