Our Client delivers innovative projects, creating positive changes to people’s communities, homes, work, and learning environments.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join the business on a permanent basis.
Our Client is one of the fastest growing independent Building Services Partnerships in the UK.
They have been providing high-quality M&E design and build solutions for over 25 years, enhancing their reputation both locally and nationally to deliver the needs of high-profile customers across the retail and commercial sectors. With a proven history of meeting budgets and exacting standards, they specialise in building relationships through exceptional customer service.
As a group of companies, they provide intelligent cost-effective solutions for building services, shop fitting, and construction management services, facilitating a fully integrated service through experienced technical staff and engineers. In addition, their maintenance division provides a dedicated planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance service tailored to meet customer and asset needs.
With the ever-increasing demand for cost-effective, energy-efficient, and low carbon building design, the business is looking to hire a Lead Electrical Engineer to oversee all electrical design services running through the preconstruction team. Reporting to the M&E Design Manager, the appointed individual will also work closely with a framework of appointed M&E Consultants, outsourcing projects when required and quality checking what comes back in. The ideal applicant will be commercially astute, client-facing, and have a strong grasp of value engineering and sustainable building design, matching the company’s appetite to provide fit-for-purpose buildings.
Applications are invited from professionally qualified Electrical Building Services Design Engineers, who can clearly demonstrate their ability to provide full detailed electrical design specifications for schemes of mixed value and complexity. The role is likely best matched to Engineers operating at Senior or Principal Engineer level, capable of managing their own time, prioritising workload, and operating autonomously.
For those Engineers with ambition and looking for an opportunity to move into management at a later date, this position may well provide that pathway as the design team grows and a natural structure forms.
Finally, location may prove particularly attractive too. Located on the outskirts of Wakefield, close to the M1 and providing easy access to the motorway links. If you live in the WF postcode area and currently commuting into Leeds every day for example, this excellent opportunity could provide a great work/life balance boost.
