The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Wills, Trusts and Probate Lawyer to join our team in our Streatham office. Our Wills, Trusts and Probate team handles a wide spectrum of work, including Will writing, Powers of Attorney, Probate and estate administration, Trust creation and administration. Role Responsibilities: Drafting simple, complex and tax efficient wills and providing tax and estate planning advice to mitigate clients’ capital tax exposure Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney, preparing general and trustee powers of attorney Advising on and preparing documentation for the creation, variation and termination of trusts and dealing with the ongoing administration and compliance of trusts Person Specification Be 2-3 years PQE. Be experienced in dealing with Wills, LPAs, probate matters, inheritance tax issues, trusts, and the drafting of trust documents, with supervision where necessary Be able to demonstrate detailed knowledge and technical expertise in dealing with a mixture of areas of private client work Be able to work independently as well as part of a team Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work and prioritise systematically, attention to detail, and methodically managing multiple matters to meet deadlines Be able to generate over time their own referrals in order to create their own client base and generate further work for other Teams and the firm Help evolve a marketing strategy for the Team Be fully engaged with the firm’s marketing strategy and be prepared to attend marketing events, produce articles and make relevant posts on social media to complement the firm’s activity Have worked within, or be familiar with and able to comply with, the requirements of Lexcel Have a commercial and creative mindset Have strong IT skills, preferably with experience of a case management system Benefits Competitive salary Private Healthcare Life Insurance Income Protection Contributory Pension Discretionary annual staff bonus Reduced gym membership Discount vouchers through one of our suppliers Season Ticket Loan 25 days holiday plus additional 2 for Christmas and Bank Holidays which increase to 28 days after 2 years of service.
