Salary: Other Grade 8a Nursing Grade – (less than 2 years’ £53,038, 2-5 years’ experience £55,701, over 5 years’ experience £61,321). Plus, a Market Supplement payment of 10% until 16th June 2026.

About the role:
Devon and Cornwall and Dorset Policing Alliance are looking to recruit an Occupational Health Nurse Consultant who is a Specialist Practitioner in Occupational Health (SCPHN) working for an in-house Occupational Health provision delivering the full remit of Occupational Health with a focus on complex case management.
The successful applicant will work within the senior management team within Occupational Health providing day-to-day transactional OH at a leadership level and deputising for the Lead Occupational Health Nurse Consultant. The role acts supportively and autonomously to deliver all aspects of Occupational Health delivery and acts as a role model in demonstrating high standards of clinical care and the provision of management and leadership to the Occupational Health team on all matters pertaining to service delivery and people management health and wellbeing support.
The OHNC is a line manager providing clinical guidance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues, also providing education and training to clinical/allied OH staff, developing and delivering specialist training and education programmes.
The OHNC supports the recruitment, induction and retention processes within the Force nursing team and enhances all opportunities for setting specific and measurable service standards, clinical governance processes and clinical supervision.
The OHNC is responsible for implementing appropriate escalation processes and undertakes clinical audit while supporting the need for enhanced reporting capabilities for this area of expertise. The OHNC is adaptable and able to flex to different Force priorities.
We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and driven individual with proven experience of building relationships. Working within an in-house Occupational Health team, you will receive all the support you need from our senior management team.
This role is hybrid working, where 50% of your time will be on site and the other 50% can be working from home.
