ATL is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our expanding team based in Milton Keynes.

We have a specially kitted out workshop, equipped to handle highly technical products and is located conveniently just outside Milton Keynes city centre.
The Role:
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role within our busy Stores team, reporting to the Stores Manager. You will gain hands-on experience across all areas of the warehouse, including picking, goods-in, and despatch. It will be your responsibility to carry out these processes with efficiency and precision. Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting stock issues to the Stores Manager and working with other staff members to fulfil requests for stored goods.
This role is full-time, 40 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Pick technical items according to kit lists, working to targets while ensuring batch control and accuracy.
2. Complete despatch tasks, including assembling boxes, labelling, and packing, with attention to detail and efficiency.
3. Develop in-depth knowledge of all products, including part numbers, locations, and batch control.
4. Process goods in and organise stock within the warehouse.
5. Maintain and update the shortages board, reporting any shortages promptly to the Stores Manager.
6. Assist the Stores team with general warehousing duties to ensure deadlines are met.
7. Follow and uphold established procedures to achieve targets and fulfil your role effectively.
8. Assist the Stores Manager in improving and developing warehouse procedures.
9. Support stock management through cycle counting and proactive problem-solving.
10. Provide cover across all areas of the Stores during staff absences as required.
11. Assist with training new or less experienced team members.
12. Act as deputy for the Stores Manager in stores-related tasks during their absence, when needed.
13. Follow environmentally sustainable practices in line with our environmental policy, actively seeking to reduce waste and energy consumption.
Experience Required:
1. Experience working within a fast-paced, technical stores/warehouse environment.
2. Experience using ERP computer systems.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role, as driving a work van may be required.
2. Proficiency in IT and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage your workload efficiently.
