I am working alongside a public sector institution based in the Grimsby area who are looking to add a Payroll Manager to their established team. They are seeking an experienced candidate to support the wider payroll department who is keen to take their next step into management or is currently at this level.
Key Duties/Tasks:
1. Technical skills: iTrent payroll systems preferred & strong Excel skills
2. Support the busy payroll department
3. Manage high volume monthly payroll in a fast-paced role
4. Provide comprehensive advice to employees regarding payroll queries
5. Work to deadlines
6. Perform manual calculations
7. Conduct some expenses checks
8. Process pensions across 3 pension schemes
9. Prepare 2 reports in the UK-based team
Salary: circa £36,000
Benefits: Pension, flextime working, over 40 days paid holidays annually
Normal working hours are 37 hours per week, 08:30 to 17:00 with a flexitime option and a 1-hour break. The team also finishes at 4 PM on Fridays.
