The opportunity Our Supply Chain Team have recently taken on new global responsibilities which requires a new Material Planner/Scheduler to be responsible for managing a portfolio of global suppliers, both internal and external. You will primarily support the Larne facility, however some of the materials will be required to support our global operations. This is a key role, with long supply chains and short-term challenges being managed side by side to ensure we deliver for our operations and our customers. What you will do: Schedule, plan and oversee material procurement, production and delivery processes across eSAP and EOMP systems. Develop and execute material planning to ensure that all material requirements for assigned programs are met within the allocated time frame. Seek out owners of information and execute updates to the orders for high value materials. Maintain meticulous records to allow timely and accurate business decisions to be made. What you have: Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP) - Level Extensive Experience: Experience of working with MRP systems and Microsoft Office products. Evaluates considerations for synchronizing demand for products with production capabilities. Participates in sequencing work to meet targeted delivery dates for multiple and critical orders. Participates in setting parameters for reorders, min/max levels, lead days and job days. Coordinates capacity and materials planning for net demand within a planning period. Adjusts plans based on sales forecasts, custom orders and demand-driven orders. Decision Making and Critical Thinking - Level Extensive Experience: Evaluates past decisions for insights to improve decision-making process. Assesses and validates decision options and points and predicts their potential impact. Advises others in analyzing and synthesizing relevant data and assessing alternatives. Problem Solving - Level Extensive Experience: Ensures capture of lessons to be learned from a problem-solving effort. Organizes potential problem solvers and leads problem resolution efforts. Develops successful resolutions to critical or wide-impact problems. Relationship Management - Level Working Knowledge: Provides prompt and effective responses to requests and interactions. Differentiates the roles and responsibilities in a business relationship. Works with vendors and peers to address critical issues and resolve major problems Transportation - Level Basic Understanding: Explains basic measurements used in transportation management. Locates and interprets carrier costs, rates and time requirements. Identifies the various modes of transportation and their application. Describes the types, purpose and use of basic shipping documents. Top candidates will also have: Experience of working within a busy Material Planning, Supply Chain or Procurement Team. Experience dealing with a global supply base under time pressures. Ability to manage competing deadlines, priorities and stakeholders to deliver materials where they are needed. Excellent attention to detail and ownership of tasks. Additional information: There is up to 10% travel requirement for this role.
