An exciting internal opportunity has arisen within Planning, Performance and Strategic Change. Following the establishment of a Programme for Strategic Change within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, we are seeking a Programme Director to continue the leadership of a structured programme of work to transform the Faculty. This programme of work will take place alongside as an integral part of ongoing Faculty delivery and will involve working as part of the Faculty team to develop and implement strategic vision and strategic implementation plans to deliver our Education and Student Experience, Research and Knowledge Exchange, Infrastructure and People and Culture objectives. You will be a member of the Faculty Executive Board and work very closely with the Faculty Pro-Vice Chancellor, Faculty Operations Director, and the Faculty Executive team in the role.
Accountable to the Programme Board, you will be responsible for the overall integrity and coherence of the programme, overseeing and coordinating a suite of projects and workstreams and working closely with Future Nottingham as priorities emerge. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders across the University ensuring that the new programme fulfils its potential and delivers its expected benefits.
Minimum Requirements:
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to demonstrate and communicate strategic vision and decision making.
* The ability to build effective, collaborative working relationships with colleagues working in operational through to executive leadership roles.
* A successful track record of planning and driving the delivery of major strategic activity and developing and leading a high performing team.

This is a fixed term role until 31/7/2026. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 30 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part-time and the number of preferred hours.
Requests for secondment may be considered on the basis that prior agreement must be sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
