The Role: Head of IT
* As the Head of IT, you will play a key role in shaping and implementing the IT strategy across three sites, ensuring robust IT infrastructure supports the success of over 1500 users.
* You will lead, manage, and support a well-resourced IT Support team of 7 engineers/managers, delegating tasks, and overseeing networking, cybersecurity, cloud services, and device management.
* Your technical skills and leadership expertise will make a real impact when you collaborate with senior management to define and execute digital strategy, continuously research and recommend advancements in IT to enhance digital capabilities, and plan for future network and infrastructure needs.
* You will be responsible for ensuring data protection compliance and managing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
To Be Successful:
* You will need to have at least 5 years in IT management with experience in team leadership, project management, and technical support in a service environment.
* It will be essential to have a strong background in server and network infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and IT helpdesk management.
* Your technical skills should include Office 365 Administration, Azure AD, Intune, PowerShell scripting, and network security protocols.
* You will need to have excellent communication skills, a customer service mindset, and a strategic outlook.
* If you have experience in the education sector or a similar environment, this would be advantageous
Location: This role will be based in Southampton, Hampshire with some travel to two other sites in Hampshire. An arrangement can be discussed to allow for a blend of on-site and potentially some off-site work, depending on the role's requirements and school policies.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Friday.
