The Role Due to internal promotion, we have a new permanent opportunity to join our team at Fortem as a Repairs Supervisor working with our contract at Orbit Housing based in Stratford upon Avon and the surrounding areas. We're seeking an experienced leader with exceptional people management skills and an excellent understanding of Repairs and Maintenance. As a Repairs Supervisor, you will oversee a dedicated team of tradespeople, ensuring that all repairs and maintenance work is completed efficiently and within tight deadlines. Core Hours are Mon-Fri 8am-4.30pm The Customer Fortem's contract with Orbit Housing covers over 17,000 properties across Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Nuneaton, Northampton, Milton Keynes and Bedford. We have multiple workstreams, including Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works and Re-Roofing Plus Birmingham City Council planned works in the Rubery South Birmingham area. Duties and Responsibilities Lead, support, and inspire a team of tradespeople to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, meeting deadlines and achieving first-time success. Collaborate with various departments and maintain strong relationships with clients at all levels to deliver exceptional service. Motivate, coach, and retain skilled tradespeople, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Develop and implement a method for accurately assessing and categorising the competency levels of all team members. Oversee the Health & Safety performance of contractors, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Manage the selection, recruitment, and ongoing performance of tradespeople, ensuring the team consistently meets company standards.What you will need Essential Criteria Proven experience working within the social housing or construction industry. Demonstrated Management experience and overseeing associated Property Maintenance works. Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. SMSTS- Site Management safety training scheme Full UK Driving licence (Max 5 points) Desirable Criteria Desirable qualification CISRS Understanding of Schedule of Rates (SOR) and their application in the industry.
