As Operations Director, you’ll lead a team of managed services and project professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional outcomes for high-profile strategic accounts in the financial services sector. This global role focuses on improving efficiency, productivity, and quality, while ensuring projects and services are delivered safely, compliantly, and within budget.
What you’ll be doing:
* Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with strategic account goals and objectives.
* Understand the unique needs and challenges of each account to develop tailored operational strategies.
* Foster strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.
* Meet and exceed financial and margin expectations at both account and project levels.
* Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and optimise processes and workflows.
* Efficiently manage resources, including budgeting, planning, inventory, and supply chain management.
* Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing operational team, setting clear KPIs and providing coaching and support to achieve goals.
* Work closely with sales and other operations teams to align strategies and resources effectively.
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards while maintaining safety protocols.
* Optimise supplier and vendor relationships to improve costs and service quality, negotiating favourable terms.
* Provide regular updates to senior management, ensuring accurate reporting and acting on client feedback to drive continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in global operational leadership, particularly in tech cabling infrastructure projects and managed services.
* Strong existing relationships with strategic finance account customers.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and deliver practical solutions.
* Excellent leadership and people management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams.
* Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of organisational dynamics.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
* A solid understanding of the tech and connectivity industry.
