As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom, helping them to achieve their full potential. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals who are eager to make a positive impact on the educational journey of young Learning Support Assistant learners.
Responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant:
* Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and supporting individual students.
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
* Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Support students with their personal, social, and emotional development.
* Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
* Monitor and report on student progress to teachers.
To be a successful Learning Support Assistant you should :
* Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
* A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
