Transport Planner Linkster Recruitment have an exciting job opportunity available for a Transport Planner at one of our clients in the FMCG sector in Lichfield. Key Responsibilities: As a Transport Planner, your duties will include but are not limited to: Plan daily delivery routes for all trucks and collection of return loads. Liaise with internal departments for shunting requirements. Monitor and book in all 6-weekly inspections, MOT’s and services. Liaise daily with drivers to record defects and distribute work. Communicate with suppliers to book in collections. Provide on call support on a rota basis. Monitor the tracking and telematics to inform customer service of delays or waiting times. Skills & Experience of the Transport Planner: The ideal candidate should possess: Experience and efficiency in Microsoft Office (mostly Outlook and Excel). Good geographical knowledge of the UK. Good at problem solving. Full understanding of drivers hours and WTD rules. An excellent team player but can also work on own initiative and make decisions when required. HGV license (advantageous). Previous use of RHA Fleet (advantageous). Working Hours and Benefits: The position offers a structured work week, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, along with on-call duties every 3-4 weeks. In terms of benefits, you can expect: A competitive salary of £32,926 p/a (£15.83 p/h). On-call allowance of £2,400 p/a (£200 p/month). A discretionary annual bonus of £1,000. Overtime paid at time and a half. Pension Scheme. Permanent employment on a full time basis.
