Hyde is looking to recruit a Multi Trader - Painter & Decorator. We are a reputable housing association committed to providing safe and comfortable living environments for our customers. We are seeking a versatile and skilled Multi-Trades Person to join our dynamic maintenance team. As a Multi-Trades Person at Hyde, you will be a key member of our maintenance team, responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to damp and mould and various other general maintenance. This role requires a versatile professional who can address a range of property needs efficiently. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall well-being of our customers by ensuring the quality and functionality of our housing units.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Wash and clean affected surfaces within customer’s homes.
2. Treat damp and mould with specified mould treatments.
3. Carry out minor repair works.
4. Apply plaster to walls and ceilings and conduct repairs as needed.
5. Address general maintenance issues, including painting, tiling, and other tasks as required.
6. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
7. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
8. Provide excellent customer service to customers.
Skills & Experience:
1. Proven experience working with damp and mould, as well as general maintenance.
2. Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
3. Knowledge of trade-specific techniques, materials, and safety protocols; painting & decorating trade qualification advantageous.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
5. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
6. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour.
7. Experience working in social housing is desirable.
8. Valid driver's license.
