Suffolk County Council is looking for a visionary leader to join us as the Head of SEND Transformation within our Local Area Partnership. Your role and responsibilities As our Head of SEND Transformation, you will lead and deliver key projects across the SEND Local Area Partnership in Suffolk. Your mission will be to ensure that the needs of children and young people are identified and met early, providing them with the necessary support to achieve positive outcomes. This role is crucial in shaping the future of SEND services across Suffolk, fostering collaboration between various departments and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and support. You will: lead a dedicated change team to implement the SEND transformation strategy. provide strategic oversight and drive at pace changes to the SEND system. collaborate with stakeholders, including health, social care, schools, and settings, to bring the local area partnership together. manage the SEND priorities in line with the SEND strategy and priority action plan. work closely with colleagues on high needs block review and dedicated school grants to ensure financial oversight. develop and enhance governance structures for the SEND programme. foster a transparent culture, acknowledging successes and areas for improvement. You will need Extensive knowledge and experience in SEND. Strong programme and project management skills. Proven leadership abilities with a passion for SEND. Experience working in a local authority and understanding of local partnership working. Excellent communication, co-production, participation, and engagement skills.
