Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Training and Development Coordinator to join our team and drive the training initiatives across our projects. The ideal candidate will be a people person with a passion for developing talent and enhancing skills across various levels of our workforce. This role will involve creating and maintaining a comprehensive training matrix, designing training programs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain a training matrix for labourers, site operatives, and site supervisors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry standards. Collaborate with site supervisors and department heads to identify training needs and develop targeted training plans to address skill gaps. Design, deliver, and evaluate training and upskilling programs covering a range of topics, including but not limited to the use of tools and equipment, soft strip methodologies, health and safety protocols, and basic through to advanced tasks involved in the strip out of commercial buildings. Coordinate training sessions and workshops, both internally and with external training providers, ensuring logistical arrangements and participant engagement. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback mechanisms, performance evaluations, and key performance indicators. Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees, acting as the primary contact for training-related inquiries and career development opportunities. Stay abreast of company trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in training and development, incorporating relevant updates into training materials and methodologies. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the organization, promoting the value of training and development initiatives. Organize and participate in ongoing recruitment efforts, including job fairs, seminars, and other events as required, to attract and onboard qualified candidates for various positions within the organization. Coordinate workforce movements from site to site, ensuring efficient deployment of personnel and adherence to project schedules and requirements. Must-Have Skills and Qualifications: Qualifications in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in a training and development role within the construction or soft strip demolition industry, with a strong understanding of site operations and safety requirements. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with departmental managers and build positive relationships with employees of all levels. Must be a 'people person'. Demonstrated proficiency in creating and delivering training programs, utilizing a variety of instructional methods and technologies. Knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, and machinery used on soft stripsites, along with an understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance standards. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying training needs and opportunities for improvement. Professional certifications in training and development, occupational health and safety, or related fields are desirable. Strong knowledge about the different tools used on site and the tasks involved in the strip out of a commercial building. Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations in the construction/demolition industry. Excellent interpersonal skills; must be a 'people person'. Solid problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure. Proven experience as a Training and Development Coordinator or similar role in the construction/demolition industry. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in training, such as CTT (Certified Technical Trainer) or any relevant certification in the field.
