The Benefits Team is looking to recruit an experienced Benefits Officer/Team Leader to provide daily supervision in Neath Port Talbot Council’s Benefits Team, in the delivery of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims.
Potential applicants should possess an excellent knowledge of the benefit system, experience of working in a busy financial environment, and possess 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications.
Applicants will be expected to deal with (and provide guidance on) complex cases, maintain detailed and accurate records, whilst also responding to customer enquiries by telephone, email, letter, and face to face contact.

Minimum Requirements
Ideally you are required to have:
1. Minimum of 4 GCSEs grades C or above, or equivalent qualifications.
2. IRRV qualification is desirable but not mandatory.
