We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse or midwife to work in our Birmingham Teleconsultation Centre/Clinic. Working 0800-1800 or 1000-2000 part time or full time.
You will need to be able to fulfil an integral role within our multidisciplinary team delivering a confidential abortion service. You will need to be motivated, enthusiastic, caring and empathetic. Pro-choice is a must.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for nurses/midwives who can deliver safe and effective care of patients wanting to access our service for consultation of unplanned pregnancy, surgical and medical abortions, contraception and sexual health services for women in accordance with Healthcare Commission Standards, NMC Guidelines for Professional Practice and company policies and procedures.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Current Nurse and/or Midwifery Council (NMC) registration as a Registered Nurse (Sub part 1 of the NMC register) or Registered Midwife.
* Up to date knowledge and experience of working in a sexual health/TOP/Gynaecological service.
* Ultrasound scanning experience in first and second stage trimester.
* Faculty of Reproductive Sexual Healthcare (FSRH) Letter of Competence in intrauterine techniques (i.e., IUS/IUD fitter and insertion/removal of Subdermal Implants).
Experience
* Current Nurse and/or Midwifery Council (NMC) registration as a Registered Nurse (Sub part 1 of the NMC register) or Registered Midwife.
* Up to date knowledge and experience of working in a sexual health/TOP or Gynaecological service.
* Ultrasound scanning experience in first and second stage trimester.
* Recognised qualification in Independent/Supplementary Prescribing.
