Eadon Consulting Ltd. are expanding beyond Sheffield and opening an office in Cockermouth, Cumbria. We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer to join our Eadon team as one of our first colleagues at the new site, offering the chance to influence the development of our new location as the team there grows. The range of projects that we work on allows us to provide an exciting career where people can apply their existing knowledge and gain additional experience across varied sectors. These include moveable bridges, the nuclear industry, handling equipment, water control and kinetic structures. For the right candidate, there is also the potential to become part of Eadon’s Senior Leadership Team in addition to the Principal Engineer role. This would give you the chance to work with, and be supported by, peers in Sheffield to influence Eadon’s strategy for growth as we begin to put down roots in the area. What you’ll do You will be working alongside other engineers and designers as an integral part of the team setting the delivery and technical strategy for solving a wide variety of engineering problems. As a senior team member in the Lakes, we’ll also expect you to take on responsibilities as required to ensure the effective day to day running of the facility. Typical responsibilities include: Technical, strategic and commercial leadership of project delivery Building and maintaining client relationships, including proactively identifying and acting on business/ sales opportunities Coaching and supporting others to deliver their roles and develop their careers Working with Eadon’s Senior Leadership Team on business-wide strategic objectives Role modelling Eadon’s Values of Knowledgeable, Enthusiastic, Creative, Reliable and Collaborative in everything that you do.
