The Mechanical Operative role is responsible for the hands-on mechanical works surrounding the construction, maintenance, and repair of the water network infrastructure, both regionally and nationally. The role briefly encompasses the following duties: - Collaborating with all teams to meet project outputs, standards, and specifications. Offering technical guidance and mechanical expertise Performing hands-on mechanical work, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, occupational health, and environmental standards. Providing weekly reports on mechanical safety, plant performance, and labour. Review and input on site RAMS Read and understand mechanical drawings. Knowledge of mechanical systems. Experience in the water/utilities sector preferred. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:- Qualifications: HNC/HND or relevant mechanical experience. Certification: Relevant industry skills card (CSCS), SSSTS training, EUSR Water hygiene card, full UK driving licence. Health & Safety: Relevant industry H&S training. Technical Skills: General mechanical training. Customer Focus: Strong customer service orientation. Soft Skills: Influencing skills, organisational skills, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and team collaboration.
