Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Dermatology

Are you a passionate and experienced pharmacist looking to specialise in dermatology?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Highly Specialist Pharmacist Band 8a to join our dynamic pharmacy team at Royal Bolton Hospital Foundation Trust.
1. To work with the Senior leadership team and lead the development of the dermatology pharmacy service at Royal Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Be responsible for the planning and implementation of strategic goals as directed by the Chief Pharmacist and national and local commissioners.
2. To work as part of the dermatology MDT and advocate and promote the safe and cost effective prescribing within the Dermatology directorate in line with local and national guidelines.
3. To develop and contribute to the departments and trust cost improvement agenda. To help identify and deliver on schemes relating to dermatology prescribing including high cost drug use, biosimilar switches and homecare.
4. To provide appropriate training and support for all staff involved with dermatology, ensuring all staff within the pharmacy team are delivering a high quality service alongside the education and training lead pharmacist.
5. To act as a role model and line manager for other pharmacy professionals.
6. Alongside homecare team, be involved with implementation of new homecare services and policies including the setting up of service level agreements (SLAs) and ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards related to the dermatology directorate.
7. Ensure that all medicines related policies within dermatology are up to date and in line with best practice. Where required develop new policies and SOPs to improve service quality and reduce risk.
