Provide 1:1 pastoral support to a particular year group.
The Head of Year Pastoral Lead will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive school culture, ensuring the wellbeing of students, and supporting their academic journey. Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the pastoral care and wellbeing of a designated year group, providing guidance and support to students.
* Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour, attendance, and academic progress.
* Act as a key point of contact for students, parents, and staff regarding pastoral matters.
* Coordinate and lead assemblies, year group meetings, and enrichment activities.
* Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to address and resolve student issues.
* Maintain accurate records and reports related to student wellbeing and progress.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in a pastoral or similar educational role within a secondary school setting.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
* A passion for student welfare and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive school environment.
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work under pressure.
