A well-established law firm is looking for a practice manager to manage their Bedford office.
Duties to include but may not be limited to:
1. Management of the finance department and back office;
2. Day-to-day and annual responsibility for the firms' accounts;
3. Advice on regulatory compliance including SRA and SAR's;
4. Organisation of the firm's insurance, accreditation and practising certificate renewals;
5. Human resources management;
6. Attending Board meetings;
7. Negotiating with third party suppliers;
8. Developing organisational and performance systems.
Applicants should have:
1. Previous relevant experience within the legal environment;
2. A comprehensive understanding of the Solicitor Accounts Rules and an overview of the general obligations of the SRA Handbook;
3. Held the post of COFA;
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
5. The ability to adhere to and manage deadlines with minimal supervision;
6. Strong IT skills.
The post is full-time, permanent and salary levels negotiable depending on experience but likely to be around the 65k level.
