The Ashford Renal Satellite Unit is a nurse led satellite unit; our main unit is based in Canterbury. There are 5 satellite units based in East and West Kent.
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Band 5 Nurse to join our team at the Ashford Renal Satellite Unit to cover maternity
At WHH Renal Unit, we look after a variety of patients from many different ethnic, socio-economic and religious backgrounds, we have 15 dialysis stations, we work really closely with our patients as we see them three times a week and provide the best care for them to help them cope with their chronic condition. We are open Monday to Saturday: 06:50-18:50 and we also cover an on-call service every month.
If you are an experienced Band 5 Nurse, who is motivated and enthusiastic, then come and join our friendly team of Nurses and become part of the Kent Kidney Care Centre based at the WHH. If you are looking to expand your skills and learn how to deliver haemodialysis to both inpatients and outpatients, then this is the role for you.
We are looking for someone who is kind and caring and who wants to be part of a team who advocate and make evidence-based decisions for patients in a nurse led unit.

We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn, has a kind and caring attitude towards patients and colleagues and can be a positive team member. Within this role you will be looking after patients who have a chronic condition who attend the unit three times a week
We will provide the in-house training you require to safely carry out your role in dialysis which includes specific dialysis training and further development opportunities within your role.
The main duties of this role include providing haemodialysis care to renal patients on a daily basis including fluid management, recording observations, daily weights intravenous medication, pressure sore prevention, vascular access care and diabetes management.
We also work closely with the multidisciplinary team, this includes Dieticians, Access team, AKC nurses, Counsellors, Renal Care Navigator, Renal Registrars, Renal Consultants and Transplant nurses
