The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care, and / or the implementation and evaluation of these programmes ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients
Assessment of presenting conditions, initiation of investigations, determination of differential diagnosis, initiate treatment and where appropriate discharge patients
Review treatment plans developed by less experienced staff in order to confirm differential diagnosis and advise on discharge/referral
In the absence of the Team Leader for MINTS the post holder will have responsibility for the management of the MINTS Service including supervision, development and deployment of junior staff

What we'll need you to bring
8. Registered Nurse with current revalidation and NMC Registration
9. Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
10. Graduate Certificate in Urgent Care or Equivalent
11. Mints Major / Minor Injury practitioner / or Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification
12. Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently
13. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of Minor injuries
14. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with this speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within this speciality / area of practice
15. Leadership skills to ensure optimum day to day management of the service
16. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
17. The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
18. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills
19. Effective time management skills
20. Working knowledge of basic information technology
It would be great if you also have:
21. Experience as a Registered Nurse within an Emergency Department
22. Post Registration expereice within relevant speciality
