Based near Milton Keynes, we are looking for a Systems Administrator for 30 hours a week to join our group business services team.
Duties include:
* Systems Management, providing robust and reliable systems to support excellent client service.
* Work closely with our IT support company and third-party providers to manage and maintain the organisation’s IT infrastructure.
* Perform regular system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of software and hardware.
* Install, configure, update and maintain software and applications.
* Manage user accounts and permissions.
* Oversee back-up, recovery and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
* Troubleshoot systems issues and resolve incidents quickly and efficiently, escalating to third party providers where necessary.
* Maintain security protocols and ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity policies and best practices.
* Keep documentation up to date, including system configurations, data dictionaries, procedures and incident reports.
* Maintain our Azure database and PowerBI reporting, monitoring performance and resolving issues.
* Assist in planning and implementing system upgrades, migrations and other IT projects.
* Provide end-user support, troubleshooting software and hardware issues as needed.
* Assess the impact of new features and manage system updates to ensure systems are stable and maintained.
* Review, test and sign-off system changes developed and implemented by third party providers.
* Liaise with and manage the day-to-day relationship with third party providers.
The Candidate…
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or has substantial equivalent experience).
* 4+ years’ experience in a Systems Administration role.
* Strong knowledge of cloud and SaaS services, including familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and a hybrid environment.
* Proficiency in software system demonstrations and training.
* Experience of PowerBI and DAX is a plus.
* Able to work independently and demonstrate initiative as well as in a team providing support across all levels.
* Strong Communication skills, can engage at all levels both verbally and has excellent documentation skills.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team. UK driving licence and access to own transport.
* The right to work in the UK is a requirement for this role.
This role can be based nationally but will include regular travel to our offices in Cranfield near Milton Keynes and surrounding areas as part of a hybrid working model. Full UK driving licence required. We are offering this role for 30 hours per week (full time hours would be 37.5 hours), working pattern can be flexible.
