Main duties of the job
The Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of operational management of a designated shift within the Sterile Services Department, Endoscopy Decontamination Unit, and Mattress Decontamination Service.
This will include line managing all staff on their shift, liaising with all clinical users, responding to their day-to-day enquiries and requests, overseeing production inputs/outputs for quality, and responding to all other matters that may arise throughout the course of their shift.
This job role involves manual handling of heavy goods.
The successful candidate will need to have demonstrable Sterile Services experience in a Sterile Services Technician Role and be able to demonstrate continued progression in a Decontamination Role.
The successful candidate should be working towards Healthcare Science Associate Level 4 qualification for completion within 3 years of commencing post.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Knowledge of Infection Control procedures.
Experience
* Demonstrable Sterile Services experience in a Sterile Services Technician Role and able to demonstrate continued progression in a Decontamination Role.
* Experience of using I.T programmes, i.e., Microsoft Office.
* Experience of successfully operating in and delivering priorities workload requests.
* Experience of delivering presentations in a meeting setting.
* Previous Team Leader or Supervisory Experience.
* Previous experience of production management.
* Experience in providing learning and development to other people in relation to staff continual personal development.
Qualifications
* Good standard of general education.
* GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent qualifications) in English and Maths.
* Recognised Qualification(s) in Decontamination Practices.
* Working towards Healthcare Science Associate Level 4 qualification for completion within 3 years of commencing post.
* Continued Personal/Professional Development in Decontamination Practices.
* Team Leader or Supervisory Management Qualification.
£26,530 to £29,114 a year, per annum, pro rata.
