Procurement Officer (Healthcare Sector) Profectus Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading organisation in the healthcare services industry to find a driven and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join their team. Ideally you will have 3 years working within Healthcare or the NHS in a similar positionAs a Procurement Officer, you will be a critical part of the Procurement Function, supporting the implementation of procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving operational excellence. This is a hands-on role that combines operational procurement and purchasing tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations while delivering value and efficiencies across multiple systems. Key Responsibilities: Procurement and Purchasing Support the development and execution of procurement strategies aligned with business goals. Conduct market analysis to identify suppliers and negotiate competitive contracts. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure collaboration and performance improvements. Mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions proactively. Manage purchase orders across multiple systems, becoming a superuser in different platforms. Contract Management Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating supplier contracts to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues promptly. Support the effective management of contract renewals and amendments. Operational Excellence Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of procurement processes and procedures. Leverage procurement tools and systems to improve operational efficiency. Analyse procurement data to identify trends and generate cost-saving opportunities. Collaboration & Guidance Partner with internal stakeholders across operations, finance, and legal to achieve successful procurement outcomes. Provide procurement support and guidance to internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate will possess the following: Essential Qualifications & Skills GCSEs / A-Levels (or equivalent). Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Desirable Qualifications & Skills Logistics, Supply Chain, or Procurement qualifications. CIPS Level 3/4 or equivalent procurement certification. Knowledge of NHS and public procurement regulations and guidelines.
