Search Recruitment is pleased to be assisting in the recruitment of a Sales Ledger Clerk for a full-time, permanent role based in Harrogate. Our client is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills in managing the sales ledger and contributing to the smooth operation of the finance department.
As a Sales Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that all sales invoices are raised accurately and on time, and that payments are received promptly. Your duties will include processing customer invoices, managing customer accounts, and reconciling any discrepancies. You will also be responsible for chasing overdue payments, maintaining accurate records of communication with customers, and supporting credit control activities where necessary. In addition, you will assist with month-end procedures, including preparing reports for the finance team and supporting the wider business with any invoicing-related queries.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong understanding of sales ledger functions, excellent attention to detail, and strong organisational skills. Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable, along with proficiency in accounting software (such as Sage or similar systems) and Microsoft Excel. You should also be confident in managing customer relationships and be able to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
