Our client, a luxury English brand specializing in craft silver and leather items, is actively seeking a Distribution Manager to join their team in their East London Workshop on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced distribution manager to join a great team in the distribution of luxury goods.
Key Responsibilities
* Control inward IPR shipments, ensuring correct customs procedures are used.
* Goods receipt and 100% quality check of inward products within 24 hours of their arrival.
* Manage the distribution team to ensure orders are delivered to a high standard (product and packaging), safely and on time.
* Update and manage aspects of the Production Report.
* Manage in-house corporate personalizing and engraving schedule.
* Track and chase inward shipments from suppliers, escalating issues where necessary to ensure timely arrivals.
* Ensure all workshop shipments are passed on to the workshop team for QC and labeling before storing.
* Update and disseminate a Day-End Report to all relevant staff on all goods in and goods out.
* Ensure stock items are protected and stored appropriately, and the warehouse is always kept neat and orderly.
* Record all stock movements; track and control samples including high-value and bespoke items (e.g., silverware and samples).
* Perform quarterly stock takes, investigate any differences, and report results.
* Run and update monthly stock reports including bespoke items.
* Control movement of tooling.
* Ensure project stock is labeled and stored safely.
* Ensure finished project components are stored safely.
* Take full control of the warehouse, ensuring it is a ‘closed system’ – products/components can only go in/out through yourself.
* Ensure all issues are reported/logged, be it supplier, quality, internal, or courier related.
* Provide accurate and timely delivery quotes to the sales team, identifying different options and costs, including allowances for duties and taxes.
* Control outward shipments of IPR shipments ensuring all documentation is logged for quarterly review.
* Organise and schedule sales order deliveries ensuring all details are correct, and for overseas deliveries, paperwork is complete and accurate including commercial invoices, packing lists, ATRs, and any other specific requirements.
* Ensure deliveries reach their destinations; keep tracking from collection to delivery to client.
