Operations Lead: · Drive the planning and execution of day-to-day business operations. · Optimize and enhance processes, serving as the super-user for all operational software systems. · Oversee and manage external contractors, including housekeeping and linen service providers. · Lead, mentor, and support a large seasonal summer team, fostering development and ensuring high performance. 2. Administrative Support: · Assist in managing and maintaining administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document organization. · Schedule meetings, appointments, and maintain calendars for the operations team. · Prepare and distribute reports and documents as required. 3. Inventory and Supply Management: · Monitor and maintain inventory levels for office supplies, equipment, and materials. · Coordinate with vendors for procurement and ensure timely deliveries. 4. Data Management: · Maintain accurate records, databases, and information related to operations activities. · Generate and analyze reports to support decision-making and performance improvement. 5. Communication: · Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure seamless workflow and information sharing. · Assist in internal and external communication, including email correspondence and phone calls. 6. Operational Activities: · Lead the coordination of day-to-day operations, including tracking and reporting on project progress, and resolving operational issues. · Contribute to the development of operational processes and procedures for efficiency. 7. Problem Solving: · Assist in identifying and resolving operational challenges. · Contribute to the development of solutions and process improvements. 8. Recruitment & Training: · Assist in recruitment of summer staff from interviewing to onboarding stages. · Manage and monitor online job ads and applications. · Lead training and onboarding for new team members Skills & Qualifications: · Previous experience in the hotel/hostel industry or related fields is preferred, but not required. We value a passion for delivering exceptional service. · Need to be proactive, self-starting and willing to take initiative to improve processes. · Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. · Detail-oriented, process driven and well-organized with strong multitasking abilities. · A team player who thrives in a collaborative work environment. · Proficiency in using office software and systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Excel). Working Conditions: · Partly office based, partly site based. · Candidate needs to be willing to adapt day to day to work where needed within the business. · Candidate needs to be willing to travel.
