* We seek an IT Security Officer with a strong background in information security and cyber security, ideally with experience in security operations.
* The successful candidate should possess relevant qualifications and certifications in IT security.
* A deep understanding of compliance efforts and risk management practices is essential.
* Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems is a must, along with excellent communication skills for collaboration with the IT team and external partners.
Responsibilities:
* As part of our Information Services Team, you will play a crucial role in implementing SEUPB's Cyber Security and IT Strategies.
* You will maintain and enhance existing security measures while proactively identifying areas for improvement within SEUPB's IT estate.
* Your responsibilities will include ensuring cyber security resilience across on-premise and cloud-based systems.
* You will serve as the main point of contact for our managed Security Operations Centre, ensuring the SEUPB SIEM operates effectively.
* Additionally, you will support the organization with its compliance efforts and provide the IT team with the necessary skills and resources to manage the security environment effectively.
