Level 6 Nursery Manager (to start September 2025)
Fixed Term in the first instance
Salary - £34,147 - £37,096 depending on experience
Working pattern: 7:30am – 5:00pm
50 weeks a year, 40 hours a week
We are excited to announce the opening of our new nursery provision and are looking for a passionate, highly motivated, and skilled nursery manager to join our team. Our nursery caters to children aged 2 to 4 years old, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for their growth and development.
We are looking for someone who:
* Is responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery unit
* Ensures Ofsted Statutory requirements are met.
* Ensures safeguarding and welfare requirements are always met.
* Has knowledge of SEND and experience of working with SEND children (e.g. ASD, ADHD, attachment and trauma difficulties, specific learning difficulties)
* Assists in recruitment of staff
* Supports the development of staff within the setting.
* Will show around prospective parents, which will be a vital aspect of your role
* Is passionate and enthusiastic about the setting.
* Can communicate effectively and work in a team environment.
* Is patient, calm, and has a good sense of humour
* Can demonstrate high expectations of positive behaviour for learning
* Manages and monitors the occupancy of the setting using marketing techniques to promote the setting.
* Effectively manages budgets.
* Designs and implements an effective curriculum and supports, coaches, and mentors the team in the delivery.
* Builds and maintains relationships with pupils, parents, and other members of staff to ensure the children are receiving the best possible support.
* Ensures compliance with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security, and confidentiality.
* Supports the nursery with growth and ensures occupancy is a focus.
Requirements:
* At least 2 years’ experience in nursery management.
* Able to demonstrate competence in meeting the developmental and emotional needs of the children.
* Hands-on approach in the day-to-day childcare and willingness to lead by example.
* Strong customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills which meet and exceed the expectations of the parents and the company.
* Can work on own initiative by being self-motivated.
* Ability to work within a wider team.
* Knowledge in health and safety and safer food better business guidelines.
* Able to time manage self and team.
* Have strong I.T skills and able to use or willingness to use multiple computerised systems.
* Strong skills in literacy and numeracy.
