The Junior Accounts Assistant will provide support to the finance team, focusing primarily on cashiering and administrative tasks. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle financial transactions efficiently. The position may involve weekend work to ensure business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Cashiering Duties:
1. Process customer payments and ensure accurate recording.
2. Reconcile daily cash and credit transactions.
3. Maintain and manage the cash register and petty cash fund.
4. Address discrepancies in transactions promptly and professionally.
Administrative Support:
1. Assist in preparing invoices and processing payments.
2. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
3. Respond to customer and internal queries related to accounts and payments.
4. Organize and file financial documents for audit purposes.
General Accounts Support:
1. Assist in bank reconciliations and month-end reporting.
2. Support the preparation of financial statements and reports as required.
3. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations.
Additional Duties:
1. Contribute to improving administrative processes.
2. Perform other tasks assigned by the Senior Accounts Team.
Key Skills & Requirements
Experience: Previous experience in cashiering or an administrative role is preferred but not essential.
Skills:
1. Strong numerical and organizational skills.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and accounting software.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Other Requirements:
1. Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
2. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
