This is a unique opportunity to help support financial advice firms in their understanding and adoption of continual industry and regulatory change within their centralised research and due diligence approaches.
The role involves working within a small team of analysts involved in all aspects of the research service, including:
* Collation and analysis of research information via industry research tools, provider websites and contacts.
* Contributing to client facing content on guidance, news on products and funds, and financial service themes.
* Supporting the maintenance and review of third-party investment solutions.
* Supporting individual clients directly by taking queries on all elements of research resources and guidance on specific investments and product research processes.
* Tailored client support, such as investment committee attendance and central investment proposition reviews.
Licences and Qualifications
* Able to demonstrate experience in the financial advice industry, including a broad, market knowledge of the advice process and of products, funds, platforms, and investment solutions.
* Level 4 diploma qualified or willing to attain relevant qualification.
* Good Excel skills are required. Microsoft Teams, Word and Outlook would be of benefit. The candidate will also be using research resources, such as FE Analytics, defaqto Engage, risk profiling and cash flow tools, so familiarity with these tools would be beneficial.
* You will be working in a small team with a combination of regular scheduled work and projects within the department. Good time management, strong work ethic and a willing to collaborate are key attributes for the role.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are important, including the ability to research, and communicate information in written and verbal form.
