Responsibilities: Organize and manage the administration of all internal and external examinations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and exam board requirements. Work closely with teaching staff to create exam timetables, coordinate invigilation, and manage exam rooms and resources. Liaise with examination boards and other relevant authorities to ensure accurate registration of candidates and the timely distribution of results. Ensure that all deadlines for exam entries, amendments, and exam-related queries are met. Maintain accurate records of exam entries, results, and qualifications, adhering to data protection and confidentiality requirements. Ensure special arrangements are in place for students with additional needs or disabilities, working closely with the SENCo to meet individual requirements. Provide clear communication to students, parents, and staff regarding exam procedures, timetables, and regulations. Coordinate with invigilators, train them on exam procedures, and ensure that they are available for all exam sessions. Oversee the collection, storage, and dispatch of exam papers, ensuring secure handling of confidential materials. Handle any queries or issues related to exams, including appeals and re-marks, liaising with the relevant stakeholders to resolve them efficiently. Experience and Qualifications: Previous experience in an examinations officer role or similar administrative position. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of exam administration. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, students, parents, and external bodies. Familiarity with examination board processes and regulations is preferred. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards. A clear DBS check.
