You’ll help us make health happen by:
* Running morning and afternoon activity sessions tailored to our residents, including musical acts, days out, exercise classes, arts and crafts, etc.
* Producing and updating an activity planner for the home, working within a set activities budget.
* Supporting and encouraging residents to partake in activities.
* Organising birthday surprises for residents.
* Ensuring everything is organised for planned activities, events, and co-ordinating days out.
* Liaising with external companies and performers from the local community to organise events at the home.
* Assisting with breakfast, lunch, and dinner duties when necessary.
* Organising one-to-ones with residents, involving reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading, or simply having a chat over a cup of tea.
* Updating paperwork, care plans, activity notes, and managing emails.
* Supporting the home with their social media channels as required.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
You’re a creative thinker with plenty of ideas, who can manage budgets and maintain paperwork while effectively managing priorities. You want to make a real difference, are interested in caring for others, and can share your sense of humour and enthusiasm for improving people’s lives. Whether motivating colleagues, making links in the local area, or involving friends and family, you’ll bring community spirit to everything you do.
