Description
We are searching for a Resident Relationship Officer to Provide initial and tailored support to new social housing tenants to ensure they are well equipped to understand the rights and responsibilities that come with their new home and how to maximise the opportunities from the raft of services accessible as part of their more comprehensive support network.
Responsibilities
Provides housing management and support services and manages complex casework specialising in all people-related issues, including safeguarding, domestic abuse, mental health, children and young people's support, older people's support, hoarding, property condition, mediation and dispute resolution, anti-social behaviour, alcohol and substance misuse, and troubled families.
Qualification – Essential
* GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
* Housing-related qualification or willingness to undertake professional on-the-job training
* Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria-to be Tested at Shortlisting.
* The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential.
* Extensive working experience in safeguarding, domestic abuse, mental health, children and young people support.
* Knowledge of housing law
* Knowledge and understanding of applying coaching and motivational interviewing tools with customers to drive ownership of problems and solutions.
* Experience delivering customer-facing multi-landlord tenure blind tenancy management and complex casework management.
* Experience managing a portfolio of complex casework regarding people support and tenancy management issues.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with many competing priorities.
* Experience working in complex housing organisations and experience working with vulnerable residents to improve outcomes and sustain behavioural change.
* Ability and willingness to travel between locations.
