About the Team
The Economic Crime Strategy Unit works with other departments to coordinate the governments approach to tackling economic crime.
We are a domestic-focussed branch, covering cross-cutting economic crime including delivering the Economic Crime Plan 2, the Economic Crime Levy, the National Risk Assessment of Money Laundering and Terrorist-Financing, and planning for the next mutual evaluation by the Financial Action Taskforce.
Our branch sits within the Sanctions and Illicit Finance team, and the team works closely together to develop policies and legislation to protect the stability of the global financial system. About the Job
Responsibilities in the role may adapt over time as our priorities shift, but day to day, you will:
1. Work collaboratively with government departments, law enforcement agencies and supervisory stakeholders to deliver economic crime priorities.
2. Maintain oversight for HM Treasury's interests in economic crime policy, which could include areas like crypto currency and corporate transparency
