An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Project Engineer with experience of EC&I systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of design during the pre-construction phase, then the management of installation and testing during the construction phase.
Responsibilities:
* Lead a multi-disciplined EC&I Engineering Team.
* To support the project manager(s) with the definition of programmes and budgets
* Support the Project Manager in management of Consultant and Contractors.
* Work closely with the Engineering and BIM design team.
* To support the project manager(s) with monitoring and reporting of project performance and change management
* To support the Project Managers with budget / estimate, schedule, scope(s) of work, specifications, O&M documentation.
* To Support the project optioneering process.
* Review and accept/challenge Engineering drawings and documentation.
* Manage detailed design activities in accordance with ABL and client standards.
* Carry out technical assessment/approval of contractors work instruction/method statements/risk assessments.
* Manage the procurement and delivery of equipment and materials, including the
* review and technical approval of specifications, purchase requisitions, acceptance
* criteria, supplier documentation and validation of performance
* Provide technical supervision of construction activities to ensure compliance with design intent.
Requirements:
* Qualification to degree level or HNC/HND with relevant experience in a EC&I Engineering discipline.
* Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status or working towards
* Formal H&S qualification E.g. IOSH managing safely and/or SMSTS or CCNSG
* 5 years recent experience in an equivalent role
* Project Engineering of EC&I work packages, including office based pre-construction activities, site implementation/ integration, within an industrial highly regulated environment.
