Their product design, development and manufacturing is carried out at their site in East Sussex. In addition, our client has subsidiary companies in Europe, North America (which includes a manufacturing facility) and Australasia, as well as partnering agents throughout the world. Global sales are now > £ 70m with approximately 350 employees worldwide. This position will involve travel throughout the UK (and occasional overseas visits) to promote, sell and support their products to both potential and existing customers. Our client has enjoyed significant growth in recent years, especially in the UK market which has grown from around £ 5m to over £ 15m in annual sales. Our client is now looking for an experienced Senior Sales Manager to join them at an exciting time of positive change. The candidate will join a team of around 10 admin, sales and after sales support staff who are focused primarily on the UK market. Importantly, the role also has a view to succession planning and the successful candidate will be expected to take on a lead role in high value contract negotiations and helping to support and manage key customer accounts with £ multi-million annual spends. Our client are looking for an individual who will need to demonstrate a highly successful track record in sales, within an engineering/manufacturing/electronics/software environment. Key Responsibilities To take a senior role in all sales activities in the UK Network and build strong relationships with all customers, by understanding their needs and providing solutions. High level contract negotiation (£ million) and customer account management. Act as key point of contact for escalated client issues and ensure prompt and satisfactory resolution. To increase sales in the UK by identifying new business opportunities and promoting new products as/when they become available. To provide sales reports and forecasts to our Directors To keep informed of trends and regulations in relation to products The position will involve arranging sales visits and product demonstrations; answering general sales enquiries; administration of quotations, specifications & tender responses as well as attending industry exhibitions. To support the Sales Director to develop sales strategy and to continually achieve and exceed sales targets outlined by the Sales Director Essential Requirements Extensive sales and customer management experience at senior level High commercial acumen with good business analytical skills Excellent communication manner with the ability to interact well with internal and external stakeholders Experience of working in a target driven environment, continually striving to achieve the goals outlined by the business IT literate, familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc). Well organised and able to self-manage and prioritise workloads.
